"Indiana Jones 5" again delayed due to problems with scenario

The fifth of the "Indiana Jones" is in development for several years, but before the start of the shooting it has not yet come. Initially, Stephen Spielberg took the film director, however, this year it became known that he left the project due to creative disagreements. Following Spielberg, the Writer David KEPP left. The other day, CEPP gave an interview to the portal Den Of Geek, the reasons for which the production of "Indiana Jones 5" is also postponed:

With Stephen, they tried a couple of different versions. In each of them there was something good, but at the same time there were also unsuccessful ideas. That happens. But it was very difficult to achieve unity, having gathered all the elements together - I mean Stephen, Harrison [Ford], script and disney. As a result, we did not work. When, after recruiting Stephen, James Mangold was appointed director, it became a turning point. I also needed to retreat, because I understood that the new director would hardly want to deal with the screenwriter of his predecessor. With James, a friendly conversation was held with James, who convinced me that he in any case wants to move on. I think everything happened very politely.

At the moment, the premiere of "Indiana Jones 5" is scheduled for July 28, 2022, but it is possible that the release will be transferred again.
