Taking part in the ARMCHAIR EXPERT podcast, Claire Danes told that at one time she had a chance to get a major role in the famous "Titanic" James Cameron. Although a great success was involved in this project, Danes still refused to play Ebbot Rosa, because after filming "Romeo + Juliet", together with Leonardo, Dicaprio actress did not want to re-fulfill a romantic heroine. As a result, Kate Winslet went to the role, but Danens claims that it does not regret his decision:
Have you been offered to play "Titanic"? I think so, although I'm not quite sure. The interest in me was accurately, but by the time I barely committed with the romantic epic [Romeo + Juliet] together with Leo. We were in Mexico City, where you just had to start shooting "Titanic". But honestly, I have already just not left for that time. I wanted to try something new, whereas "Titanic" seemed to be repetitive. Leo then also doubted whether he should agree to his role in this film, but in the end he still exclaimed: "To hell with everything. I'll take it for it. " As for me, I was just not ready.
In the future, Dains starred in several famous directors, including Francis Ford Coppola, Thomas Winterberg and Richard Linklater, but she failed to reach the same level that after Titanic reached the DiCaprio. The most striking DEINS project in recent years has become the drama television series "Motherland" in which she played a major role.
The eighth and final season "Motherland" will be broadcast on February 9.
