The opposite side of this popularity was the burning rejection, which most viewers expressed due to the controversial ending series. However, Caris Wang Howen, who played Melisandra, believes that the discontent of the fans speaks of their "ungratefulness." At the same time, the actress noted that her the final of the "Games of the Thrones" really liked. In an interview with Insider Van Howen said:
A great disappointment that some viewers experienced, suggests how well everything before. So it seems ungrateful to me. You perfectly spent time after this series, but you will certainly be upset, because the story ended not as you expected. Of course, the defeat critic will follow this, but I think it is a sign of how good this show was.
Van Howen added that the requirements of the fans to move the finals of the Games of Thrones, as well as the corresponding petition - this is the manifestation of "terrible extremism", and not love for the TV series. The actress urges to appreciate the work of the scripts, whose efforts do not deserve such an angry reaction.
