Will Smith is famous for its activity, spent over the year to be filmed immediately in several films. Aladdin's recently released Disney, in which actor played Ginn, collected more than a billion dollars at the box office. This project was for the 51-year-old Smith in the most cash register for the entire career. On the contrary, another fresh film, "Gemini", risks becoming failed. In this picture, Smith fulfilled two roles at once - his character struggles against his younger clone. Despite the impressive special effects, the film seemed to critics extremely weak.
Critics appreciated the ability of the director ENGA Lee to carry the audience with technological research - so, the film is removed in 120 frames per second, which adds an image image. However, in the rest of the picture did not discharge the praise, including on the part of Mike Reyes from Cinemablend. He put "Gemini" three stars, complaining that the creators of the film neglected the development of the plot:
"Gemini" is a film that simply did not hit at one time, and now looks only as a shadow of what he could become. And although ENGA's technical skill is quite definitely worthy of attention, the plot of the paintings was strong and outdated. "Gemini" is a vivid example of trick-22. This story would have worked much better in 1997, when only the idea of the film arose, but only visual effects correspond to the requests of the current epoch.
According to critics, several perfectly removed action scenes and impressive rejuvenation of Will Smith 2.0 does not compensate for the flat plot, template dialogs and poorly written characters. Against the background of a technically verified picture, these shortcomings look even more ridiculous.
In Russia, Gemini will be released on the screens of cinemas on October 10.
