The series "Luther" has a large number of fans around the world. During the fifth season of the BBC One in January 2019, the series demonstrated the best rating among all British TV channels. I repeatedly said that I would like to turn the "Luther" to the film. And I always wanted a team of the series. And now it happens! In a full-length format, we will have endless possibilities, plot lines will become bolder, perhaps we will even touch on the international scale of investigations. But John Luther will always be himself.
Idris Elba hopes that the future film will be similar to the classic thrillers as the Seven of 1995 and "and came the spider" 2001. But so far only about the upcoming project is only the fact that the creator of the series Nil Cross began work on the scenario.
The original series tells about the senior inspector John Luther, working in the department of heavy serial crimes. He possesses the outstanding abilities of the detective, but at the same time due to problems in personal life and complex nature itself is inclined to make illegal actions.
