During the recent video conferencing organized by the American Academy of Television, Crista Vernoff told how the work on the 17th season of the series is going. Because of the quarantine, the shooting has not yet begun, but the scriptwriters turned out to be more time for working on the season. Every year doctors come to us and tell their stories. Usually it happens something funny or insane, but this year everything has changed. Our meetings began to resemble more psychotherapy. Doctors remember experienced, shake and try not to burst. They say about the coronavirus as a war to which they were not ready. Many remember Owen Khanta (the character of the series, served as a military doctor in Iraq). The fact is that it is more prepared for new realities than other doctors from the series. It seems to me that now the right time to tell some of these stories. We are only constantly discussing how to keep humor and romance inherent in our series, while we talk about such painful things.
