Despite its relaxing popularity, the comedy series "Theory of the Big Bang" was closed last year because of the decision of Jim Parsons to leave this show. Nevertheless, the franchise continues to live, because now there is a prequel / Spin-off called "Children's Children", telling about the child's socially unsuitable genius of Sheldon Cooper.
The new series debuted in 2017. Although the effect of this show is developing in the same reality as the original, between two projects there are noticeable differences - for example, the behavior of Sheldon, which is a child who is less picky and more conspiracy. As the executive producer of the "Theory of Big Bang" said Stephen Molauro in the podkaster I Saw That Years Ago, the authors of the "Children's Children" went consciously:
When we have developed a scenario for a pilot episode, we did not want to copy the adult Sheldon, which now would speak from the face of the child ... Of course, adult Sheldon can be very annoying, although he comes off with his hands, but we decided that little Sheldon should be different From myself in the future, so we made it much more naive.
However, Sheldon is not the only character from Spin-Off, which differs from its analogue in the "Theory of Big Explosion", because significant changes are observed in Mother Sheldon, and in his grandmother. In addition, the audience noticed some plot contradictions between the two series. Molaur commented on this problem, saying that in "Childhood Sheldon" an emphasis is on the new narration, and not on the preservation of continuity.
