The series "Crown" extended the sixth season: "But no modernity"

At the beginning of this year, the Netflix Stregnation service reported that the series "Crown" will have five seasons instead of the six previously planned six. Six months later, the opinion has changed to the opposite. In the official Twitter Netflix a message appeared:

We confirm that it will be the sixth (and final) season of the series "Crown" except for those announced earlier than five!

The creator of the series Peter Morgan explained this decision:

When we began to discuss the story lines of the fifth season, it became clear that in order to pay tribute to the wealth and complexity of history, we must return to the initial plan and release six seasons. To be clear - there will be no modernity, the sixth season will not bring us to today, it will simply allow to consider the same period in more detail.

Representative Netflix Cindy Holland says:

"Crown" continues to raise the bar with each new season. We cannot wait when viewers will see the upcoming fourth season, and we are proud to support Peter and all his phenomenal team in the work on the upcoming seasons.

The third season of the series ended on the events of the end of the 70s: the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Board of Elizabeth II, the personal problems of her sister Margaret and the conspiracy of the queen against his own son in order to prevent him from marrying love. The fourth season, the show of which is expected later this year, will cover the events until the beginning of the 90s, in it the audience will get acquainted with Margaret Thatcher and Diana Spencer. The upcoming two final seasons will cover events tentatively until 2003.
