The short cartoon Hair Love ("Oscar's Love"), which won the Oscar statue, will be the TV series HBO MAX called Young Love, consisting of 12 episodes. Showranners will perform the creator of the original cartoon Matthew Cherry and Karl Jones, who previously produced the cartoon "Ghetto".
"Love for the hair" talks about a small African American girl Zuri, who wants to make a beautiful hairstyle, and her dad Stephen, who bravely joins the fight against naughty hair, guided by the rollers on the Internet and not knowing what difficulties he is waiting for him.

The cartoon has a very unusual fate. The author of the script and the director became a professional American football player, the cartoon funds were gathered using crowdfunding on the Kickstarter platform, at some point the project was impressed by the Sony Pictures Animation Studio, which helped implement it. Matthew Cherry so told about his idea:
I am not a father myself, but I have a lot of friends - young fathers. I wanted to show a black family in the animation world. Black fathers from the point of view of common stereotypes are the worst people. They are tunes, they never have them next to children. But my friends are completely different. This project was the most insane thing in my life, including professional sports. I am very grateful to Sony, who liked the idea, they supported me from the first day.
