The cult criminal-dramatic series "Clan Soprano" ended very unexpectedly: in the final series, the screen suddenly dares when Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) sits at the dinner table with her family. The audience did not know that in the future it happened with Tony, and the creator of the series David Chase usually refused to give some point comments on this. Despite this, in the 2019 Book of The Sopranos Sessions Chase wrote that in the final series Tony "could get a strong blow during lunch." Now the interview with Chase with its co-authors was leaked to the network, in which the fate of Tony was revealed.
When you said that this story has a deadlock, you did not mean Tony [at dinner] in the diner "Holten". You then meant: "I think I would have enough ideas for another two years,"
- said Alan Sepinwall, who took part in writing a book. Chase answered it:
Yes, it seems to me that the idea from the scene came to me two years before the end. Tony had to go to a meeting with Johnny Schom in Manhattan, passing through Lincoln Tunnel. The screen was to darken at this moment, so no one did not see how he crossed the tunnel in the opposite direction. The theory is such that at that meeting it happened something bad. But we did not remove it.
Then another co-author Matt Roller Zaitan asked:
Do you understand that you just called this scene of death?
Followed the long pause, and then Chase said:
Yes, you guys go.
Apparently, Tony was killed in this scene. Recall, the "clan soprano" was published on the HBO Channel 1999 to 2007, acquiring wide popularity and greater cultural significance.
