Brothers Matt and Ross Daffera, known as the Showranner of the series "Very weird deeds", were taught to cinema at the University of Cepman's University in California. As a thesis at the end of the Cinematic Faculty in 2007, young directors shot a short film called "Eater". In his framework, the story of the British writer Peter Krazera is the same name. A 18-minute short film tells about a young police officer, which during night duty in the plot is forced to encounter with a terrible horror in the face of the Freedom of Manyak-Cannibal. In the genre attitude, it is horror, shot in dark colors.

After they shot a few more short works, and their debut in full-length cinema took place in 2014, when they put a thriller "hawking". Then the brothers switched to the series "Pines", after what finally got a chance to implement their project "very strange things", conceived three years before the start of filming.

In March, work began on the fourth season of "very strange cases," but soon the production was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. About the date of release of the new season on the screens yet there is no information.
