In a new interview for The New York Times, Nicole was asked about filming in the drama Stanley Kubrika 1999 "with widespread eyes", where she and Tom Cruz played a couple, being married in reality. In the film, their heroes are looking for adventures on the side, faced with infidelity and jealousy. Many spectators seemed that Nicole and Tom had played their relationship, besides, after a couple of years after the release of the film, they divorced. And according to rumors, the crisis in their relationship began on the set of drama.
The journalist asked:
When you play such scenes with a person with whom you are really married, can it be so that you will discover the negative feelings that will regret?
Nicole replied:
This is suitable for the fact that people think about our story, but I perceived everything else. We were happy in marriage at that moment. After filming the sexy scenes, we could go to karting at three in the morning. I do not know what else to say. Maybe I can no longer look back and analyze everything that was. Or maybe I do not want to do this.
Tom and Nicole were married for almost 11 years. Five years ago, in an interview with Evening Standard, Kidman said that he did not regret marriage with Cruise:
I was a child when I married Tom, but I don't regret anything. But from respect for China [Urban, Nicole's current husband] I prefer not to discuss it.
