The comedic fighter "Hancock" about a superhero alcoholic with Amnesia, who learns to present properly, was one of the most successful films of 2008, having gathered at 625 million dollars. But at the moment it is almost forgotten. A single hero could not stand against large franchises, stuffed with superheroes.
Immediately after the success of the film there were conversations that it is necessary to remove the sequel with the participation of major roles in the first film - Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Beitman. To write a scenario, Glen Mazzar were hired ("Detective Nash Bridges", "Life as a sentence") and Adam Fierro (Dexter, "Narco"). But before the filming of the film, the case did not come.
In an interview dedicated to the new project Netflix "Immortal Guard", Charlize Theron on the question of the continuation of "Hancock" replied:
There were many conversations about the continuation. Especially after the release of the first part. If I were called to continue, I would agree without thinking.
It was "Hancock" was the first film that raised the question of how the existence of a superhero affects the world around. And is it always the influence of beneficial. Now, when both large franchises have grown to discuss this topic, perhaps "Hancoka" have a chance to really get a continuation and put questions that other will grow only in 10 years.
