In a conversation with the publishing the Wrap, Stewart told that she was preparing for the role, studying the fourth season of the series Peter Morgan. According to her, it helps her better feel in touch with the characters than the study of archival materials, even though the series shows the earlier length of the life of the princess than will be presented in the Spencer film.
