The Miramax TV headed in May Mark Helvig first declared that one of the most important parts of its development strategy will be the transformation of Miramax films in television series. Now the details of the first experience have become known. According to the film Guillermo Del Toro "Mutants" 1997 will be shot by the series. Pilot episode will remove the floor U.S. Anderson, known in a series of films "Resident Evil". Writer, Showranner and executive producer will be Jim D. Gray ("Hannibal", "Orange - Hit of the Season"). Another producer will be Jeremy Bolt, who spent the producer on many projects of Anderson.

The world of insects has always been my hobby. So much strength and organization of these tiny creatures that lived long to humanity and will live for a long time after his death. This is a breathtaking world. I am glad to work on it with partners such as Jim and Miramax.

Only at first glance is a story about insects. Body horror, anxiety about someone else's inside of us, the death of truth, the denial of science, the growth of personal rights - all this will be discussed in the series, which explores how society is destroyed by the invasion.
The film "Mutants" and the upcoming series are based on the work of Donald Wallheim, whose name in Russian publications is translated as Mimikria.
