The adaptation of the "sand man" Neil Gamean is considered one of the most anticipated TV series Netflix, and shooting should start this fall. It will not be the first attempt to bring the plot beyond the borders of the comic books - earlier the fans have the opportunity to listen to the same-name audiobook.
But with the screening of the case was not so simple. Earlier, Geymann himself noted that previous attempts to adapt his history ended with the failure, because no one wanted to risk and give the film with an adult rating of a big budget. But times are changed, and now thanks to Netflix with the financing of the project, there are no problems.
As it turned out on the eve, the Stregnation service was already invited to the role of the director of the "sand man" Toby Haynes, who worked on the most popular serials of Great Britain, including "Doctors Who," "Sherlock" and "Black Mirror". The fact that Netflix and Haynes have concluded a deal, the Edition of The Illuminerdi reported, however, there was no official confirmation of this information yet. Of course, fans hope that the news will be true, because Hains is definitely good when it comes to mystical or fantasy stories.
Earlier, Producer David Goyer said that a "sand man" would have started shooting if it were not for a coronavirus pandemic. By the beginning of the quarantine and the closure of film production around the world, the series was at an early stage of development of scenarios. The date of the premiere of the show is still questionable.
