"Bohemian Rhapsodia" criticized for historical inaccuracies

It is interesting that the script approved the members of the Queen group Brian May and Roger Taylor, but, despite this, the "Bohemian Rhapsodia" is accused of the fact that the script authors changed the time frame of the Queen group history to create a drama convenient for the film.

The historical inaccuracies in the film are a lot, but truly large facts of facts are only two.

In the "Bohemian Rhapsodia" Freddie Mercury put in a negative light for the fact that he, with the support of his Paul PRENTER manager (Allen Lich), wants to record a solo album, and because of this, relations between members of the group deteriorate. In reality, Freddie was not the first Queen member, who recorded a solo album - in 1981 and 1984 Drummer Roger Taylor Group managed to release already two solo plates. Interestingly, in the film Taylor (Ben Hardy plays him), Freddie plans for a solo-album - very ironically, given that in reality he himself released two.

The second very important inaccuracy is related to how the Mercury HIV diagnosis was displayed. In the "Bohemian Rhapsodia", the musician learns about a terrible diagnosis shortly before the group's reunification for the Live AID concert, and it helps to rally former friends. In the reality of Mercury, most likely, did not even know about the disease to Live Aid - the performance took place in 1985, and the diagnosis of the musician was unlikely to have staged before April 1987.

Despite the criticism and historical inaccuracies, the "Bohemian Rhapsody" has already managed to discourage production costs and at a budget of $ 52 million to earn 149 million dollars.
