In honor of the month of women's history and the international day of visibility of transgender, LGBT organization Glaad published an open letter in support of women and transgender girls. The letter has already gathered more than 400 signatures. Among those who supported the message, Glaad were Holly Berry, Selena Gomez, Gabriel Union, Brie Larson, Bella Hadid and other celebrities.
"Transgender women and girls are an integral part of the struggle for gender freedom. We support this truth and condemn the ongoing antransgeneous rhetoric observed in various industries. We firmly recognize that transgender women are women, and transgender girls are girls. And we believe that the diversity of female experience gives strength, and does not harm the ideas of feminism. We all deserve equal freedom and opportunities. We deserve equal access to education, employment, health, housing, rest and public processes. And we must respect the right of every person to self-determination, "the Gladd says.
The authors of the letter call on society to put an end to the attacks on the trans community: "2020 became the most deadly year in the history of the transgender community. More than 44 murders were committed, and this year is known at least about 9 deaths. We must fight against unnecessary and unethical barriers established for trans-women and girls. "
