At the weekend in the London Royal Hall of Arts and Sciences named after Albert, the 74th ceremony of awarding awards of the British Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, most famous for BAFTA took place. The solemn event took place without a living audience, so only leading premiums and some participants gathered in Albert Hall. For the first time in the history of the premium, the event was divided into two evenings, the main nominations were disclosed on the second day.
On the red carpet could see Phoebe Daynevor, Hugh Grant with his wife, Gugletu Mbata-Row, Tom Hiddleston, Chopra's crossing with Nick Jonas, Rene Zellweger, Cynthia Eriva, Feliciti Jones and not only.
In the nomination "The Best Film" victory won the picture "Earth of Nomads" directed by Chloe Zhao with Francis McDormand in the lead role. The latter also received a reward as the best actress. The best actor was recognized by Anthony Hopkins for the role in the Drama "Father". The painting "Girl, Giving Hope" named the best British film, and the best animation film was the cartoon "Soul".
Typically, the BAFTA ceremony takes place in February, but this year the event was postponed by April because of the pandemic. "Oscar" this year will also take place later than the usual - April 25th.
