The audience guess that the last few episodes of the final season would not be without losses, and unfortunately were right. Little was the creators of the fact that Charlie (Felicia Day), Bobby (Jim Beaver), Donna (Briana Bakmaster), Eileen (Shoshanna Stern) and many others simply disappeared, the scripts were deprived of the fans of one of the main characters - Castiel. In the 18th series CAS (Misha Collins) sacrificed himself to save Dean (Jensen Ekls).
When the time began to approach the end, Dean and Cas were locked in the bunker, and death (Lisa Berry) literally knocked on the door. Billy wanted to see the Winchester dead, but the angel had their own plans. After the heartbreaking speech, CAS caused the emptiness with which he concluded a deal, and she took both him and death. Thus, the life of Dina was saved.
This is not the first time Castiel dies in the series, but now it is not necessary for his resurrection. Last week Misha Collins in conversation with Entertainment Weekly said:
For many years, fans asked me, how, in my opinion, will the story end? And I have always been answered - heroic self-sacrifice. I think this is an integral part of his character: he was always ready to sacrifice himself for the sake of the highest good and people who became for him family.
And although Kas went with a smile on his face, it does not make his death less tragic for "supernatural" fans. And they should prepare for more, because there are two more episodes, the last of which will be released on November 19.
