Netflix presented a trailer for the new picture of David Fincher "Mank". This black and white biographical drama will talk about the difficult relationship between the Writer Hermann Mankiewicz and Oron Wells during their collaboration on the legendary film of 1941 "Citizen Kane". Gary Oldman will play the title role, while Wells will fulfill Tom Berk.
As follows from the title, the focus in the upcoming film will be made on the figure of Mankievich. Against the background of problems with alcoholism, stinging MANK conflicts with Wells in the process of writing a scenario, which will form the basis of the greatest film of all times and peoples. In 1942, "Citizen Kane" received an Oscar award in the nomination "The Best Original Scenario" - Wells and Mankiewicz were awarded this award in a duet, but they did not solve anyone, whose contribution was more significant.
The script for "Manka" wrote Father David Fincher Shortly before his death in 2003. In addition to Oldman and Berk, the key roles in the painting will play Amanda Seyfried (Actress Marion Davis, a long-standing mistress Mankievich) and Lily Collins (Rita Alexander, Stenographer Mankiewicz).
"MANK" will be available for viewing on Netflix on December 4.
