As it became known from the words of President Lucasfilm Katlin Kennedy, in the future we are waiting for another film about the adventures of Indiana Jones, and this role will again fulfill Harrison Ford, while Stephen Spielberg will again appear as a director and a sprode. Communicating with the press in the course of the BAFTA awards ceremony, Kennedy said:
Oh, Harrison Ford will definitely take part in this film. It will not be a restart, but the continuation of the story started in the previous parts. Did Harrison return to the image of Indiana Jones? Definitely. He is looking forward to it. There is no doubt that it will happen. Work on the script of the film is already underway. When we get the option that we want, we will be ready to start production.
Previously, there were rumors that the role of the main hero of the franchise must move by a younger actor, but the Kennedy comments will put an end to these speculations, at least in the near future. The upcoming film will be already fifth of the episode of Indiana Jones. Shooting, as Kennedy shared, will start not so soon, but previously it was officially announced that the premiere of the picture will be held on July 9, 2021.
