When in 1973 Ingmar Bergman took off his "scenes from family life," he believed that he was creating a feature film. Nowadays, a work consisting of six complete episodes associated with a common storyline will rather be called a mini-series. And the HBO Max canal saw the serial potential in one of the central paintings of Bergman and launched a remake project project.
The main roles in the new series will perform Oscar Iskaek ("Star Wars", "inside Lewin Davis") and Michelle Williams ("Gorbay Mountain", "the greatest showman"). They will be the executive producers of the project. Also, the executive producer, the author of the script and the director will be Hagai Levi ("Patients", "Lovers", "Our Guys").
The original work of Bergman investigated the relationship of a couple, which took place through uncertainty in their relationship, treason, divorce and understanding of the inability to be apart.
