Deborah Dugan became the first woman - president of the National Academy of Art and Science of Gram Designs of the United States, which presents the Grammy Prize. But Deborah worked in the position of only six months, she recently removed her. According to Variety, the reason for the dismissal was "Exceeding official powers". She was accused of "inappropriate behavior, verbal insults, ill-treatment" and sued. So far, Deborah has not commented on this information.
The other day, Dugan put out several response charges against the Academy. She stated that the Academy does not discernize the results of the vote. According to Deborah, artists who did not even fall into the top 20 nominee candidates are introduced into the prize short sheet. Deborah led an example: in 2019, among the nominees in the category "Song of the Year" was to be NO Tears Left to Cry Ariana Grande. But in the end, instead, they put another song, and Hit Ariana from the nomination "thrown out."
Dugan stated that it was repeatedly becoming a victim of sexual violence and discrimination while worked on Grammy. She also reported that the former head of the Nile Portnov Academy raped one of the singers nominated for the premium. According to her, that is why Nile was fired.
Representatives of the Academy called all accusations of Deborah false. She, in turn, promised to tell another "couple of interesting things" about the former place of work.
