In the recently recent Satyric film "Rabbit Jodgho" Taika Vaititi appear not only as a director and a screenwriter, but also as the performer is hardly the most colorful role. The picture tells about the 10-year-old German boy who remained without his father. To fill the loss, the boy created a funny imaginary friend, having gone his appearance Adolf Hitler - this is exactly the hero and played Vaititi.
However, in a conversation with Empire magazine, Vaititi shared that in fact he felt embarrassing every time he had to try on the image of such an odious historical figure:
I was very awkward. It is most important. I came to embarrassment every time I had to appear in such a guide. Going to the set, I wanted to talk to all those present: "Listen, I want to apologize to each of you." I had a feeling as if in this image I was extremely inappropriate. Then you begin to ask yourself, why did you need to get involved in all this.
Vaititi no longer claims that he was disgusting to reincarnation in Hitler, as well as he did not feel joys from the development of the image of the Nazis when writing a scenario. At the same time, Vaititi acknowledged that in the end the film - despite his strangeness - still succeeded. According to him, this is a wonderful story telling about the relationship between children.
