As a result, however, he refused to join the project, although his long-standing companion Emma Tillarger Koskoff was still among the producers of the picture. Now, in an interview with BBC, Scorsese explained his decision in connection with Joker.
I thought a lot about it over the past four years, but still decided that I had not enough time for this project. I abandoned him for personal reasons, although I am very well familiar with the scenario "Joker". But I still do not know, it would be for me the next step - to engage in a character, which is a character of comics. After all, he grows into some abstraction.
