The SPLASH News and Picture Agency filed a singer for using a photo taken by an agency employee. In the photo, Lopez is captured by his hand with his bridegroom, Baseball player Alex Rodriguez. According to the plaintiff, photographs of such stars, like Lopez and Rodriguez, cost photos of big money, because it is not easy to catch celebrities in public places. The agency called its photo "rare and creative".
It is known that the photo agencies sell the rights to use the valuable frames of tabloids, journals and newspapers. The plaintiff openly stated that the status of celebrities in the photo and picture quality was given to authors of the photo the opportunity to get a good income - if Lopez did not publish it.
The fact that the accused Jennifer was captured by the photo, as it turned out, nothing means - the singer does not belong to the snapshot and permission is not required for it, since he is made in a public place. The US law is considering a photo as an original author's work.
