The last time the series had such indicators in 2010, when the second episode of the first season was released on the screens. Since then, the ratings of the show have constantly changed, but in recent years the audience has been stably reduced. According to experts, over the past couple of years it has decreased by 60%. Despite this, the AMS channel, like the CW channel, is in no hurry to close the series, but, on the contrary, expands the universe of the walking dead, promising full-length films and spin-offs.
The shows have already left several major stars in the face of Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grahims), Lauren Kokhan (Maggie), Danya Gurir (Mishonn), and also, by rumors, from the "Walking Dead" will take Hari Peyton, which plays Ezekiel. The AMS channel extended contracts with Norman Ridus (Daryl) and Melissa McBride (Carol), but it is now unclear how justified this step was.
