Angelina Jolie sells the only picture created by the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during World War II. It is expected that for this work at auction it will receive up to $ 3.4 million.
Churchill wrote a "Kutubia Mosque Tower" in Morocco after visiting the Casablanc conference in January 1943 and presented it with US President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Full Brad Pitt bought a picture in 2011 with an antique seller specifically for Jolie. But now after divorcing the actress, it is ready to part with it - it is planned that by March 1, the work will replenish the collection of the House of Christie's. "This is the only work that Churchill wrote during the war, possibly inspired by the recent progress achieved by allies in one of the most beautiful countries," said Nick Orchard, head of the modern British art of the House of Christie's.
Antiques, Bill Rau, who previously belonged to the picture, noted in a conversation with CNN, that the picture was donated to the son of President Roosevelt, who in the 1960s sold it to film director. According to Rau, then the picture was in New Orleans, where she was kept in the toilet one of the local families for more than 50 years, before the Padder was inherited and contacted his gallery.
