For those decades that have passed since the output of Titanic, Kate Winslet managed to establish himself as a leading actress Hollywood, but before she was sure that her career was a "happy chance."
The 45-year-old actress recently joined Michel Pfaiffer, Rashid Jones, Vanessa Kirby and Andre Day to perform the Envelope's virtual round table and told about their own concerns. According to her, the entrance to the "Titanic" became a real surprise for her - she first starred in American cinema and played next to Leonardo Di Caprio, which was already known at the time after the role in the ribbon "What Gilbert Grape is heated?".
"I thought: I'm Kate from the Ritch, a fat girl at the end of the turn," remembered the Winslet.
The actress added that she was not invited to some castings simply because in the alphabetic list, her surname was at the end. But even after the success of Titanic, the Winster continued to "be afraid of Hollywood."
"A large, terrible place where everyone should have been thin and look certainly," Kate's emotions described, noting that he had already understood that she did not fit there, she had to deserve the place. And then she began working with tripled force.
Winslet was seven times nominated for the Oscar Prize and won one statuette for the "reader" in 2009.
