The new series The CW "Walker" is a complete reboot of the classic "Walker, Texas Ranger" with a completely different look at the cult character. In the original show, Chuck Norris played the main role, and this time the honorable place went to the star "Supernatural" Jared Padalekia. And the actor admitted that he even received a blessing from the famous predecessor.
During the speech on Good Morning America, Padalekaly explained that Norris still partially owns the rights to "Walker, Texas Ranger", and therefore the reboot was simply necessary to agree with him. Fortunately, this problem did not.
"He really had to give his blessing. He helped create the original version and therefore still co-owner. He had no problems with this, thank God, because I do not want to contact Chuck Norris. But I saw all the gifs, memes and so on, "the actor said.
Jared said that as a result, the blessing was received, despite the fact that the new show represents the main character in a different light than the original. And earlier in an interview with the San Antonio Express-News, he described "Walker" so: "This show is not about karate. The point is not how many shots we have with a turn over a series. " The artist added that his Cordell Walker grew up in the 80s, and not in the 40s, we are talking about another generation, and therefore the events of the show are adjusted to modern realities.
