The Netflix Stregnation Service announced the upcoming new premiere on June 30, publishing an official trailer. The project called HomeMade ("Made at Home") developed a director Pablo Larrain, along with his brother Juan De Dios Larrain. They offered different directors to remove the short films with a length of 5-7 minutes at home. In an interview with Variety, Pablo Larrain said about the intent:

We wanted to show that we are all from different countries and cultures, but everyone is now experiencing a unique moment in the history of mankind. In different contexts, we ended up in very similar circumstances.

A representative of Netflix Teresa Moneto told about the project:

Each director did what he wanted. Movies turned out very different. Some were personal stories, and some are funny or fantastic. We tried to organize them so that the transitions between the films were related thematically.

A total of 17 films of different authors entered the project. In addition to Pablo Lorrain, Kristen Stewart, Ana Lily Amipur, Paolo Sorrentino, Maggie Gillanhol and others were provided. It will be possible to see the result on Netflix as entirely as a film, as well as choosing a short film director.
