The American Cinematography Academy decided on the list and sent invitations to enter the Academy of 819 film industry figures. The list includes 75 nominees for Oscar, including 15 winners, 45% of women, 36% of underrepresented representatives of ethnic communities and 49% of foreigners. President of the Academy David Rubin said:

The Academy is glad to welcome its new members. We always sought to use the variety of world cinematographic community. A few years ago, we set the goal to double the number of women and representatives of ethnic minorities as part of the Academy by 2020. Through targeted work, the Academy surpassed both targets. But there is still a long road ahead.

Now invited must confirm invitations. Membership at the Academy paid and costs approximately $ 450 per year. But it gives the right to vote when choosing the Winners of the Oscar award.

The composition of the guests included director Ari Aster, Mati Liop, Matthew Won, Actors John David Washington, Florence Pugh, Akvaphine, Cynthia Erivo and many others. The full list of invited is available on the website of the Cinematography Academy.
