The cable channel The CW has published the first official trailer of the fifth season of the series "Riverdale". A minute video demonstrated frames from several initial episodes, completing all the plot lines of teenage characters.
In the video there are cuts from the series about the graduation and awarding of graduates, which was supposed to get into the fourth season, however, due to a long-term coronavirus pandemic, blocked shooting in Vancouver until autumn, it was moved to the fifth. Bright and positive moments are replaced by gloomy scenes, when familiar heroes receive mysterious cassettes with frightening content. A special accent is also assigned to Betty's relations (Lily Reynhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendez) and an emotional collision of Archie (Kay Jaj Apa) with Jagheted (Cole in Apawo).

After the starting series of the audience, there is a jump in time. The action moves to seven years ahead and will focus on matured characters. Due to the turn of mysterious events, familiar characters will return to the city and will meet again.
The premiere of the continuation of the multi-meh youth drama from the Showranner and the SCARE SCAPER screenwriter will take place on the CW on January 20, 2021.
