"Fish-Dream" is a bright original cinema shot at the junction of the genres of the Black Comedy, fantasy fairy tales and erotic thriller; Modern story about how the intellectual from Comedy Ryazanov meets the Mermaid Andersen.
The protagonist of the film, the Roman Corrector, played the actor and famous photographer Vladimir Mishukov, in the course of the filming, became a full-fledged collaborator of the film. He is familiar to the Russian spectators on the works in the films "Daughter" and "Winter Way", in the series "May ribbons", but his main role is for the first time. And for her, Vladimir has already received a couple of awards from Kshyshtof Zanussi's hands and Federica Begbeder at foreign festivals.
And on the role of whether the Girl, or the Rusls directed by Anton Bilzho for a long time looking for an actress, in which the Scandinavian appearance would be connected with the image of the fatal woman, and at the same time quite liberated and open for candid filming. Severia was an absolute hit in this request, which also liked the script. Working on the role in the "Fish-Dream" fell between her participation in the film Anna Melikyan "Star" and the filming of Alexei Popogrebsky and Tom Tõkver.
The role of the third key character - the Union captain Mark, whom the main character meets in the resort - played actor theater and cinema Maxim Vitorgan. According to the remarks of the director, being in one frame, the vitorgan and tinsels embodied some human dualism, the combined image of the modern citizen and its shadow.
"Fish-Dream" is the first full-length picture of the director Anton Bilzho. Prior to that, he removed several short films marked by festival awards, and even earlier, he invented dozens of commercials, working as a copywriter at McCann Ericson Moscow. The idea of the tape appeared at the director during the rest with his family in the resort town of Ust-Narva. All shooting took place here.
The script of the film received a grant of the St. Petersburg Foundation "P.O.V." And he was selected for the pitching of the Kotbus Festival. But as a result, the budget of the project was exclusively funds of individuals. His part of him invested the co-producer of Andrei Bilzhio paintings (he also played in a small episode). A significant amount was able to collect with the help of crowdfunding on Planeta.ru: Mostly, these funds went to the post-production film and the purchase of rights to the music of Philip Glass, which sounds in the film.
