In the center of the plot there is a boy named Thomas, one day he wakes up in a strange place called the meadow. The main character does not remember anything except her name. Other boys live in the meadow, but it is completely isolated from the modern world. The boundaries of space are surrounded by a high stone wall that protects children about monsters living in a labyrinth near the Polyana walls.
Every day, one of the teenagers go to the labyrinth to make an accurate map of constantly changing climbing and find a way out.
With the advent of Thomas, strange things begin to occur, the labyrinth seems to him very familiar, and he focuses on it better than all. This discovery causes dark suspicions from other guys. But everything becomes even confusing when the first girl appears in the glade, which brings a note, reporting that it will become the last, who arrived in this place, and that the end is already close.
