The Canadian company Spin Master Ltd produces the Titanic Desktop game based on the 1997 movie of the same name. The game is designed for 2-5 players, the characters were Jack Dawson, Rosa Bucket, her mother Ruth, the groom Cal and the captain. The game begins at the moment when "Titanic", represented by a 36 card playing field laid out by a 4x9 rectangle, flies on Iceberg. Players will have to move on a fast-sinking ship, save passengers and at the same time pumping their skills of rescuers to save even more passengers in the following moves. Saved passengers give victory points. Also in separate parts of the ship you can get "Star cards". They give victory points if the player succeeds to reproduce one of the scenes of the film. What exactly can be considered only after receiving the card.
The official description of the game on the publisher website says:
You will make decisions about life and death every move, choosing some of the passengers to save, improving their abilities to save even more in the next go, and picking up "star cards" to survive nostalgic moments from the film.
Earn victory points, saving passengers and playing "star cards". After each move, one of the 36 titanic cards will be turned over to the flooded side, creating a dynamic gameplay that makes you constantly run to not be in the icy depths of the Atlantic. When the ship is completely flooded, the player with the greatest points wins.
The game will go on sale on August 1.
