A novel of the writer A. J. Finna "Woman in the window" tells about an alcoholic suffering from agoraphobia, which once sees a window as a neighbor kills his wife. Although the plot is very reminded at the same time and the film of Hichkok 1954 "Window to the courtyard", and the romance of Hawkins 2015 "Girl in a train", Roman became a bestseller, was translated into 37 languages and made the author with a millionaire.
The director Yanitsa Bravo will be shielded not a novel, but an article from The New Yorker magazine, which tells about the pathological falsehood of the author of Roman. The present name of the writer is Dan Mallory. He told everyone around him that his mother died from cancer, after which the brother committed suicide, and he himself is also sick of the inoperable shape of cancer and will not survive his forty-eyed. In addition, the writer lied around his doctoral degrees and experience.
In fact, it turned out that Mallory had never had cancer. Cancer at his mother was diagnosed, but she, and his brother is still alive. In response to the article of the magazine, the writer replied that, at least, all the truth set forth in the article, in fact he was constantly the felt because he wanted to hide his struggle with a bipolar disorder. The psychiatrist, to which the New Yorker journalists applied for consultation, said that a person with such a diagnosis "should not attribute illness his chronic lies for the sake of benefit and attract attention."
Bravo so told about the project:
What started like "My dog ate my homework", turned into "My mother died from cancer, and I have a doctoral degree." Our main character is a pathological fraudster. In his soul, emptiness, and he fills her, deceiving people.
