The Daily Mail publication has announced the first frames of the upcoming Gothic thriller Netflix "Rebecca", filmed on the book of Daphne Daphnery, written in 1938 and included in the list of 100 best detective novels of all time.
The novel tells about the young girl who married a widow and moved to his estate. But there all servants live on the punishments left by the previous wife. The housekeeper Miss Danvers is trying to bring a new wife before suicide, constantly stating that it is nothingness compared to the predecessor. At some point, the corpse of the first wife is found and an investigation begins ...
The main roles in the film are performed by Lily James and Armor Hummer as spouses and Christine Scott Thomas as Miss Danvers. In addition, Ann Daud, Kili Hous, Ben Crickton and Sam Riley starred in the picture. The director became Ben Whitley ("High", "Shootout"). The script was written by Jane Goldman, Joe Shrapnelem and Anna Waterhouse.
The novel was repeatedly shielded. The most famous screening is the film Alfred Hichkoka 1940 with Lorenis Olivier and Joan Fontaine in high roles.
The premiere at Netflix will take place shortly before Halloween - October 21 of this year.
