Selena Gomez is preparing to fulfill the main role in the upcoming movie in the Shadow of the Mountain. The singer will play a climbing Silvia Vassez-Lavado, who became the first homosexual woman who conquered the seven highest peaks on each continent, including Everest.
The film scenario is based on the 46-year-old Sylvia memoirs of the same name, which it will publish in 2022. The mountaineer notes that the conquest of the vertices was a medicine for her from memories of a serious childhood. Now she organizes an ascent to Everest for other women who survived violence.
The last of the seven vertices, Mount Denale on Alaska, Silvia conquered in 2018. After completing Challenge, she shared its achievement in Instagram.
