The frontman of the group of 30 Seconds to Mars and the actor Jared Summer supported the protesters of Belarusians in his Instagram. He published some photos from protest and, attaching to the message the icon with the Belarusian flag, wrote:
We are with you, Belarus.
It is worth noting that in Belarus the summer has been: last year he and his group came to Minsk with a concert, than very pleased with local fans.
Recall, on August 9, the presidential elections were held in Belarus. The victory was won by the current president of the country Alexander Lukashenko, which is already in power for 26 years, - he supposedly scored 80% of the votes. And his rival, the candidate from the opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, scored allegedly only 10%. It is rumored that an attempt was preparing at her, so after the election she had to leave Belarus, now she is in Lithuania. After the end of the elections throughout Belarus, mass protests began, which the authorities try to suppress: the police beaten by protesters of citizens, shells them with light grenades and rubber bullets.
Already many celebrities, including Western, spoke against violence by the authorities and security forces in Belarus and supported protesters.
