Kelly Rowlend told how she felt when she was compared with Beyonce during their work in the Destiny's Child group. The group existed from 1993 to 2006. After the collapse of Destiny's Child Kelly Rowland and Beyonce succeeded in a solo career. Kelly received many awards as a solo performer, including the Billboard and Soul Train Music Awards, and was also nominated for two Grammy Prize.
Kelly talked with Chris Sebastian, the brother of the Australian singer and the pop star of Guy Sebastiana. In the conversation, Chris noted that "lives in the shade of his brother." What the singer answered:
I know this feeling. Imagine what it is like to be in the same group with Beyonce? I constantly tormented myself with thoughts: "This dress can not be worn, they will say that I like Beyonce" or "I can not have such a song, because she looks like a Beyonce song." We were constantly compared.
Rowland admitted that he suffered from these comparisons all the years worked with Beyonce.
