NetFlix announced a new comedy film Adam McKea Don't Look Up ("Don't Look Up"). The main role in the film will play Jennifer Lawrence.
In the film that McCay takes off his own scenario, two ordinary astronomers find an asteroid, which threatens to destroy the land, and go on a journey to inform humanity about the threat. The shooting will begin in April, and the film display is scheduled at the end of the year. The budget of the picture will be 75 million dollars.
Adam McCay due to the announcement said:
I am immensely happy that I will have to work with Jen Lawrence. She is what is called explosive talent. And the fact that Netflix believes that this film will be able to laugh the whole world, asks for me and my team is a high quality bar. But we will try to cope.
Scott Schubert, head of Netflix Films, added:
Adam always has smart, relevant and not very respectful films showing our lives. Even if he somehow managed to predict our future, and the earth would really die, then we want to finish the film before everything end.
The last full-length film McKay "Power" about the former Vice-President Dick Cheney received eight nominations for Oscar and won the "best maker" nomination.
