The seventh of December was 30 years from the date of the exit to rent a fantastic film "Edward's hands-scissors". One of the best paintings by Tim Berton told the tragicomic story of an artificially created creature (Johnny Depp), whose creator died, and did not have time to complete his creation. As a result, the young man instead of hands got the scissors, which led to the tragedy, after Edward discovered an ordinary American housewife in an abandoned castle and took to live in his family. In the film also starred Winon Rider and Vincent Price.
The touching surrealistic story of Edward is rightly considered one of the best projects of Berthon: the film was a test of time, and its popularity over the years has risen only. "I did not realize that Edward became an icon for the disabled community, how much confidence, comfort and clarity he brought people," said Thompson. - I started crying. What can be touching? It was great to know that Edward became support for these suffering people to which others were so cruel. "
Burton shared that the main character was inspired by his own sense of loneliness when the director was a teenager. The condition of permanent struggle with the surrounding world in which the boy was located, prompted cinematographer to draw a sketch of a person with scissors instead of hands, which later turned into the idea of the film.
