Despite some problems in production, the upcoming series about Obi-Vana Kenobi remains one of the priorities of Disney and Lucasfilm. The shooting of the new TV project in the framework of the "Star Wars" should begin next year, but so far the artist of the capital role Yuen McGregor shared that when creating "Obi-Van Kenobi" the same advanced technology will be used to create visual effects as in Mandalorez .

Now special effects allow you to create realistic landscapes and locations, among which the events of a film are unfolded. In the case of the "Star Wars" universe and specifically the series about Obi-Wan, this means that when shooting scenes on Tatooin, cinematographers no longer need to go to Dubai or Tunisia to extract the desired material - all this can be recreated at the studio. At the same time, the peculiarity of the new technology called The Volume is that the scenery is recreated directly on the set with a special video wall, so the actors do not feel sharpened among the depressing green screens.

I think work on this project I will like much more. The beds were filmed against the background of blue and green screens, so it was difficult to imagine the surrounding environment, but now the technologies have advanced far ahead, so I think a lot of what you see will be visible and to us on the set. I do not know whether you are familiar with the backstage video about the creation of Mandalortz, but they really liked these new visual opportunities. It's just amazing. It inspires you what you really are in a fictional place. For actors it will be more realistic. I think we use the same technologies for our show,

- said McGregor in an online interview with Ace Universe.

The Level "Obi-Vana Kenobi" will be Deborah Chow. Prior to that, she worked on the first season "Mandalortz", therefore already familiar with The Volume.
