Many were surprised to see the series "Emily in Paris", without much delight accepted by critics and spectators, in the list of nominees to the prestigious Golden Globe Prize. Los Angeles Times journalists became interested in this story and, perhaps, found a corruption component in it.
The publication devoted material to the work of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which awards "globes". The authors of the material claim that in the lists of winners it is often possible to get "according to Blat".
So, in 2019, 30 HFPA members flew to the shooting of the series "Emily in Paris". One of the participants in that trip told the publication that during an excursion to the platform to them was royally. Representatives of the Association spent the night in a chic five-star hotel, the cost of the night in which it comes to 1,400 dollars. Also they were invited to a luxurious reception in the private museum of fair arts (Musée des Arts Forains).
It turns out that gorgeous conditions in the press tour were only among HFPA members. Other participants, including film critics and journalists, were accepted by the usual protocol.
Another source of edition from HFPA said that it was precisely such situations that force members of the organization to seek her reform.
