Responding to the questions of fans in Instagram, director James Gunn admitted that among the motley team of the guards of the Galaxy of a separate film, in his opinion, the Drax deserves most of all. We will remind, it is Gann that is a screenwriter and the director of all films from the Marvel franchise "Guardians of the Galaxy", while Drax in these films performs his friend Dave Batista, who before the acting career was a professional wrestler.
Previously, Batista himself also spoke about a separate film with drax in the center of the plot. To his character, the actor nourishes great sympathy, because he met a solo picture with great enthusiasm. Let the chances of such a project are extremely small, Batista knows exactly what he would like to see in it:
I would really like to tell the story of the Drax family in such a film. As for me, this is an amazing story, which, unfortunately, turned out to be lost and forgotten. If the viewers saw where the love of Drax grow to their relatives and what flour he had to postpone in connection with their murder, it would be a very beautiful and emotional moment. I would have done everything from me depends so that the drands would get my solo film, but I don't think it is at least any possible. But I believe that there is a powerful story behind this character, which would certainly like the fans. Even if the Drax did not play, but someone else, it would be very interesting.
At the moment, two films are filmed about the guards of the galaxy, while the third is at an early stage of production - initially its output was scheduled for 2020, but then the release was shifted to a later date. Meanwhile, Gunn did not remain without a business, holding a "suicide quivering unit 2" formation for DC.
The premiere of this film will be held in August 2021.
