Writer Rick Riordan, answering Twitter to the question, why in the film version of his character Percy Jackson on the Disney + channel is censored, said:
I do not know, but I suppose it is a mistake. They should have reflected the entire film. Just two hours to show a black screen.
To questions, what caused such hatred for the picture, the writer replied:
For you, guys, this is two hours of entertainment. For me - the work of my whole life, which they missed through the meat grinder, although I beg like that. But everything is fine. Soon we will fix it. I still have not seen movies and do not plan to do this. I had enough scenarios, because it is important for me how the story was told. Therefore, I have exactly nothing against the actors who starred in these films. These are not their fault. I'm sorry that they were drawn into this nonsense.
Percy Jackson is a teenager who finds out that he is a demigod, Son Poseidon. The first book of the cycle was published in 2005. In 2010, "Percy Jackson and a Lightning Thief" was removed, and the Sequel "Percy Jackson and the Seasting Sea" came out in 2013. Logan Lerman played a major role in both paintings. Both films turned out quite average.
At the moment, Riordan is attracted to work on the series about Perse Jackson for the Disney + channel. The project is still at an early stage, no information about who from the actors will participate in it yet.
