Dima Bilan in an exclusive interview for popcornnews: about the film

- Dima, what inspired you on shooting in big cinema?

- I wanted to change something in life. Install a new course, gain a new meaning, to be in the risk. Feel life in a new way and in its complete taste. And it happened. Even more than I expected.

- What did the historic genre attracted you?

- I met a direct director and producer many times, we talked for a long time, about six months. I really liked these people, I liked this story. In addition, somewhere in the subconscious, I sat the story of my own family: my great-grandfather served in Nicholas II. This is our family pride. But I fully realized this already on the set, on the second or third day. But I finally understood what I did everything right.

Perhaps if I were offered some other genre, I would also agree. But I knew from the very beginning that if I want to get in touch with this world, you should not begin with a comedy and not from the image of Dima Bilan, jumping in a T-shirt on stage.

- Can you easily get born in the image?

- About the final result, not to judge me. But on the set I was entirely in time and in the mood. A little more, and I would believe that I am he [Andrei Dolmatov - approx. Ed.]. I remember somehow after filming the next scene I went out into the street. People sit there, drink tea, dinner ... one could let go of your inner sensation for a break, but I could not. And here I am the whole sweeble, with a plate, a change in some kind of cutlet. They are trying to speak with me, and I bite, because I have a scenario. And so I walked for several days. This experience was very interesting to me.

- What was the most difficult on set?

- After two weeks filming was a very difficult period. All this similarity and the same day ... The normalized schedule is contraindicated to me. I got used to an unpredictable lifestyle. And it was difficult to rebuilt. Well, of course, not very comfortable weather conditions. But I coped with all this. The setting of the set for me is not Nova. I know that such a camera, how to contact them, how to look at them. But I wanted to be on one wave with professionals, in anything they could not be given. Therefore, I often came to shoot early and was always demanding of myself.

- Have you managed to miss music during the shooting time?

- And I did not leave music. I even wrote in my free time. On the weekend he sat down and recorded something. And he listened to a lot during filming. Pretty hard music. When they shot in Vilnius, I just heard the Muse group, their song Supremacy. My role completely coincided with the text, and I was in complete delight. Then I even gave this song to Alexander Bon on the "voice" - so much of it trembled. I realized that in her a lot hidden. So everything went into the case, as you can see. Everything is interconnected.
