"Of course, I want the reviews to be positive. But in the career of the actor, 95% have to hear that something was wrong. We will acquire thick skin and try not to depend completely on what others think. The main goal of such films as the "suicide detachment" is to entertain the audience. There is no political attack here. We did not try to achieve some kind of depth, they tried only to display the heroes honestly. Given these goals, the opinion of fans for us was especially important. To be honest, I was disappointed - it seems to me that some publications were not quite fair. But at the same time, the reaction of fans led me to delight. I do not remember when I also observed such a gap between the opinions of critics and the opinion of the audience about the film. "
At the Rotten Tomatoes, the largest aggregator of the reviews, the audience rating "Suicide Square" is now 70%, while the rating of critics is only 27%.
